Tunisian diplomatic sources in Libya told on Friday that 10 Tunisian employees working at the Tunisian consulate in the Libyan capital Tripoli were kidnapped.
According to the sources, the kidnappings took place following an attack carried out by unknown assailants and the kidnapped workers were taken to an undisclosed location.
The incident was a "blatant attack on Tunisian national sovereignty and a flagrant violation of international laws and diplomatic norms", the ministry said in a statement.
Libyan officials were not immediately available for comment. Tunisia is one of the few countries which still has a mission in Tripoli, which is controlled by a government not recognised by the international community.Güncelleme Tarihi: 12 Haziran 2015, 17:25
