Twelve people were killed and 14 others injured Saturday in a road accident in the southern Egyptian province of Assiut, according to medial and security sources.
A bus collided with microbus at on Cairo-Assiut desert road, a medical source said.
The dead had been taken to Assiut General Hospital and Apanob Hospital, added the source.
A security source blamed the accident on bad weather.
According to official figures, Egypt has the highest road accident causalities in the Middle East, with an average of 19.5 deaths a day.
