At least ten people were killed in a bomb explosion in Chadian capital N'djamena Monday morning, an eyewitness told Anadolu Agency.
The explosion – which the eyewitness described as a suicide attack – occurred in the capital’s Diguel district.
In addition, according to Reuters, Chadian security forces killed six gunmen and lost five officers as they stormed an illegal arms cache site east of the capital, state prosecutor Alghassim Khamiss told.
The operation is the latest by security forces in Chad in the wake of suicide blasts on June 15 by suspected Boko Haram in two police offices in the capital N'Djamena that killed 34 people.
