Egyptian authorities have denied access to 17 Palestinians who had hoped to cross the Rafah border terminal en route to Saudi Arabia to perform the Islamic Hajj pilgrimage.
"The Egyptian side has not explained why the pilgrims were denied access," Maher Abu Sabha, the director of borders in the Gaza government, told Anadolu Agency on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Egyptian authorities denied access to 33 Palestinians travelling to the holy lands in Saudi Arabia for hajj.
Egyptian authorities have yet to comment on the claim.
