Egypt's Interior Ministry on Sunday denied reports about an explosion inside a Health Ministry institute in the Giza province.
"A fire broke out in a medicine storage room in the vaccine and serum center in the Dokki district west of Cairo," Interior Ministry spokesman Hani Abdel-Latif told The Anadolu Agency.
The spokesman, however, gave no details about injuries in the fire.
Health Ministry spokesman Hossam Abdel-Ghaffar, for his part, told AA that three people were injured in the fire and were transferred to a nearby hospital.
Several local news outlets had reported that a gas explosion had taken place inside the building.
