George Isaac, leader of the Egyptian National Salvation Front, said that they did not trust the unofficial results of the first round voting of the referendum.

Isaac told AA on Sunday that the results which were announced by Freedom and Justice Party were unofficial, adding that National Salvation Front preferred to wait for the higher election board to announce the final results.

According to the information we have received from independent sources, many of the Egyptians voted against the constitution, said Isaac, adding that this constitution would not bring stability to Egypt.

National Salvation Front stated that 66 percent voted against and 44 percent voted in favor of the constitution, while Freedom and Justice Party stated that 56.5 percent voted in favor and 43.5 percent voted against the constitution in the referendum.

The official results of the referendum will be announced after the second round of voting takes place on December 22.
