Egypt's contstitutional court ruled that the laws governing the election of members of Shura Council, upper house of parliament were illegal and the new constitution was invalid.

Egypt's contstitutional court ruled that the laws governing the election of members of Shura Council was illegal and suspended a third of the new parliament.

The court will implement the decision to dissolve the Shura after the new elections.

The court also ruled that the committee assigned to prepare a draft constitution was illegal.

Parlimantary elections ara planned to be held in October in Egypt.
