The President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Mevlut Cavusoglu, will pay a three-day official visit to Tunisia on January 10.
Cavusoglu will meet with Prime Minister Mohamed Ghannouchi, the President of the Chamber of Advisers Abdallah Kallel, the President of the Chamber of Deputies Fouad Mebazaa, Foreign Affairs Minister Kamel Morjane and the Minister for Development and International Co-operation Mohamed Nouri Jouini.
PACE President Cavusoglu is expected to meet with deputies from the majority and the opposition, and give a seminar at the Tunis University.
Cavusoglu's visit to Tunisia aims to enhance the ties between this country and PACE.
Turkey's Justice and Development (AK) Party Antalya Deputy Cavusoglu was elected the President of PACE on January 2009.
