 Sudanese authorities had asked the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Director to leave, a UNDP source said Wednesday.

He told The Anadolu Agency that Sudanese authorities had given Yvonne Helle, the UNDP Sudan director, 72 hours to leave the country.

He did not, however, mention the reasons behind the Sudanese decision.

The ‎UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Sudan Ali Al-Za'tari, meanwhile, refused to comment on the Sudanese decision.

Sudanese authorities have not issued an official statement in this regard either.
