Two allies of deposed Tunisian leader Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali have been placed under house arrest, the Tunisian state news agency said on Sunday.
It named the men as Abdelaziz bin Dhia, Ben Ali's spokesman and chief adviser, and Abdallah Qallal, a former interior minister and head of Tunisia's appointed upper parliamentary house.
The agency also said police were searching for Ben Ali's political adviser Abdelwahhab Abdalla, who has disappeared.
Tunisia's intermin government said last week 33 members of Ben Ali's family had been arrested but named only one of them -- Imed Trabelsi, a nephew of Ben Ali's wife Leila.
