Turkey has sent 27 tonnes of aid to Somalia on Tuesday.
According to a written statement released from Turkish Prime Ministry Disaster & Emergency Management Directorate (AFAD) that in the framework of supplying Somalia with humanitarian aid, Turkish Health Ministry, Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA), General Directorate For State Hydraulic Works and Yardimeli Relief Foundation cooperated all together and sent 27 tonnes of humanitarian aid.
A Turkish Airlines cargo plane allocated by AFAD carried the relief material to the region.
Furthermore, two armoured vehicles supplied by Turkish Prime Ministry and Turkish Foreign Ministry in the use of Turkey's Mogadishu Embassy were sent to the region as well.
Turkey has so far sent 19 planes and 9 ships of humanitarian relief supplies to famine-stricken Somalia.
