Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab, the spokesman for Al-Shabab, has said that a base belonging to the group was attacked in Barawe, south of the Somali capital of Mogadishu, be ‘western’ forces.
‘Westerners in boats attacked our base at Barawe beach and one was martyred from our side,’ Abu Musab said.
It is said that the attack happened during the night. It is still unclear whether it was a retaliation for the attack carried out by Al-Shabab in Kenya last week.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but western navies are known to operate in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea.Güncelleme Tarihi: 05 Ekim 2013, 09:30
