Albania agrees to lift parliamentary immunity
The ruling and the opposition parties in Albania reached a deal that would lift the immunity of the members of parliament, local media said, cited by Makfax.

Prime Minister Sali Berisha said a deal was reached with the opposition Socialist Party leader Edi Rama, which paves the way for parliament to adopt a law that would strip the MPs of their immunity from criminal prosecution.

"We have reached a consensus on one of the most important conditions for development of reforms in the past 17 years," Berisha said.
