ANUGA trade fair partnership 'crucial for Turkey's agricultural ties'
Turkish Minister of Agriculture said Turkey's being a partner country of the ANUGA trade fair for was crucial for Turkey's agricultural relations in the world.
Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Mehmet Mehdi Eker, said Saturday Turkey's being a partner country of the ANUGA trade fair for food and drink technology was crucial for Turkey's agricultural relations in the world.
Speaking at the inauguration of the ANUGA fair in Cologne, Germany, Eker said that the fair would be important for the development of agricultural relations in the world.
Turkey's presence at the ANUGA fair as a partner carries high significance for us. Germany is one of Turkey's most important economic, political and cultural partners. Turks living in Germany and the increasing number of Germans living in Turkey contribute to the development of bilateral relations, Eker said.
The right for nutrition and access to food is the right of all. However, one person out of every six can not use such a right. While a segment of world's population consumes unlimited food, another part is fighting for survival. Though the price of food items is going down since July, this does not imply that food crisis is going down as well, Eker also said.
More than 6,000 companies from all over the world are attending the ANUGA fair.
