Attacks on Mirwaiz to scuttle peace process

Indian Secret Agencies try to assault prominent freedom leaders of Kashmir

Attacks on Mirwaiz to scuttle peace process

In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has emphasized that the Indian secret agencies are engaged in scuttling the ongoing process of resolving Kashmir dispute through negotiations.

The APHC spokesman, in a statement in Srinagar today referred in this context to two attempts made by hirelings of Indian secret agencies to assault the Chairman of the Hurriyat Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in Jammu. He recalled that one attempt was made at the Jammu airport and the other while Mirwaiz was driving in a long motorcade to Samba.

The third incident referred to by the spokesman, took place, a couple of days after the Samba assault, at New Delhi. The Indian secret agencies got one, Nasir Ahmad, arrested describing him falsely as a close associate of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. The arrested person was charged of providing funds to the so-called Kashmiri separatists.

The spokesman noted that these three incidents were masterminded by the Indian secret agencies to pressurize Kashmiri leadership into submission and undo the efforts for peaceful solution of Kashmir dispute.
