Committee members discussed mainly about topics to be debated during the plenary session scheduled for Tuesday. Justice & Development (AK) Party MP from Manisa Bulent Arinc attended the meeting, chairing the Turkish delegation.

Azerbaijan suggested to enlarge BSEC organization and inclusion of Turkmenistan and Kazakstan into it.

However, delegations from several countries including Turkey, asked for the improvement of the relations with the neighboring countries instead of enlargement.

Addressing the meeting, Arinc said Turkey was affirmative towards the proposal to establish a working group to boost relations between PABSEC and EU.

Arinc also visited Turkish-Georgian Businessmen Association, and is expected to be received by Acting President Nino Burcanadze later in the day.

Other members of the group are AK Party MPs Kemalettin Goktas, Zeki Ergezen, Eyup Fatsa, Suat Kilic; Republican People's Party (CHP) MPs Mehmet Sevigen, Ali Topuz; and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) MP Resat Dogru.

Arinc is expected to take the floor in a session on Tuesday. The session will focus on "contributions of energy safety on economic development of the Black Sea basin and comprehensive security of the region."

He will also deliver a speech on "role of the parliaments in launching a new cooperation between the EU and the Black Sea basin."
