An explosion killed four soldiers from the U.S.-led coalition force on Saturday in Afghanistan, the U.S. military said, the single bloodiest toll among foreign forces for weeks in the country.

"Four coalition service members were killed and another was seriously wounded today while conducting operations in Farah province following an IED strike this morning," it said.
