Baird said Britain has been collecting biometric data in 120 countries in order to boost security as well as speed up procedures.

Visa application centers would be opened in Ankara and Istanbul and micro visa application centers would also be established in southeastern province of Gaziantep, northwestern province of Bursa and western province of Izmir. Biometric data would be stored safely, he said.

Baird added they would resume long-term premium visa covering the period from 2 to 5 years with biometric data collecting system.
