Bush names Hennessey as new economic adviser

President George W. Bush will promote Keith Hennessey to the role of top economic adviser replacing the departing Allan Hubbard, the White House said on Wednesday.

Hubbard, 60, plans to leave his post as director of the National Economic Council by the end of this year, White House press secretary Dana Perino said. Hennessey has been serving as Hubbard's deputy.
