CHP quits censure motion against Erdogan over bugging

Turkish main secularist oppostion CHP decided not to submit the censure motion about PM Erdoğan when it is revealed that Önder Sav was bugged as he forgot to switch off the telephone, Sabah reported.

CHP has suspended the censure motion about bugging Önder Sav's room which they were planning to submit to the parliament.

CHP will support the motion which AK Party gave for investigating the event and which will be discussed at the national assembly today.

CHP group vice chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu stated that they support AK Party's motion for investigation and added: "we do not want the issue to be closed with just one motion for investigation. We will test sincerity of AK Party with an interrogation motion. Unless AK Party says yes to our motion, it means that they are in favor of illegal bugging."
