'CPS between Turkey, World Bank to cover the next 4 years'

World Bank's director for Turkey said on Monday that the preparation process of the bank's Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) with Turkey was completed.

Ulrich Zachau, World Bank's Director for Turkey, held a meeting with industrialists and representatives of the chambers of commerce and industry of the southeastern province of Gaziantep on Monday.

Speaking to reporters prior to the meeting, Zachau said the CPS between Turkey and the World Bank would cover the next 4 years.

He said cooperation activities such as researches, studies, as well as activities concerning economic policies and financing would be carried out within the framework of the strategy.

"The amount of financing will reach 6.2 billion USD within the next 4 years," Zachau said.

Zachau also said that World Bank, together with the Turkish government, envisaged new loan lines for both small and medium size enterprises and exporters within the scope of the new strategy.
