The seizure, just eight days after 100 kg of banned narcotic ephedrine and three kg of hashish were caught on August 20, took place late on Sunday in the Kalkaji area. They were seized from a person called Vinod Sharma.
Police said that the drugs were in high demand among partygoers and sportspersons.
"Cocaine is in great demand these days and is a favourite among some sports persons. The worth of the drugs seized is Rs 200 crores in the international market," said Anil Shukla, deputy commissioner of police (south).
"Further investigations are on to get details of the narcotics network," Shukla said.
The consignment was apparently being readied for export to South Africa, police said.
Police did not give details of the type of contraband seized.
On August 20, police had seized 100 kg of ephedrine and three kg of hashish concealed in a consignment of paintings headed for Canada.
It was worth Rs 1 billion in the international market. A 29-year-old Canada-based NRI and three other gang members were arrested.
After interrogating them, police learnt that the cartel spread across Punjab, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The seizure triggered a series of raids in several places in these states.Güncelleme Tarihi: 20 Eylül 2018, 18:16
