Drugs worth 150 mil. dlr. found off Irish coast
Cocaine estimated to be worth more than 110 million euros (150 million dollars) has been found off the Irish coast early on Tuesday morning in what is so far the largest seizure of drugs in the country's history, Irish national broadcaster RTE reported.
A search resumed in Dunlough Bay, West Cork, in the south-west of Ireland after an inflatable boat had sunk around 5 am (0400 GMT).
Depending on their purity, the recovered drugs could have a street value of over 300 million euros.
More of the drug could still be found, Seamus Lynch of the Revenue Customs Services told RTE radio.
Police are investigating two men in connection with the incident.
One of the men is still being questioned by police, while the other is in a comfortable condition in hospital. Both men were hospitalized after their boat sank. Last Mod: 03 Temmuz 2007, 12:30
