Erdogan attended the inauguration of the new airport in southern province of Hatay on Sunday.

"Every inauguration of a new facility means providing service to the Turkish people who deserve the best," Erdogan noted.

"Prior to the July 22nd elections, I had made a promise to thousands of my citizens in Hatay that I would visit this province soon. Today, I am pleased to fulfill that promise," Erdogan added.

Erdogan later proceeded to the Cilvegozu Border Pass where he will inaugurate the new service building at the Turkish-Syrian border.
