A bomb blast early Thursday targeting Chinese workers convoy in a southwestern Pakistani industrial city killed 23 people and wounded 30 others including children, police said.
A remote-controlled bomb exploded in Hub city of Baluchistan province when a Chinese workers convoy was passing by, police sources said.
They said the Chinese workers cars had passed by and the blast hit four vehicles of their police security guards.
About 10 police security guards and two passers-by were killed in the explosion and 26 others were wounded. Eight children were critically wounded in the blast, the police sources said.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the explosion but authorities linked it to Lal Mosque operation, launched in Islamabad after students kidnapped nine Chinese workers. They were released the very next day at the intervention of Saudi ambassador and clerics.
