"EU also should keep its promises," Finnish Premier Matti Vanhanen told a joint press conference with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Vanhanen said Finland expected Turkey's reform policy to continue, "reforms will facilitate Turkey's membership process. Turkey is very important for the stability and cultural and economic development of Europe."

Vanhanen said Finland attached importance to Turkey's works on "Democratic Move" as well as the position of the minorities.

Finnish premier said, "we have an open vision. We want Turkey to be a common part of Europe".
