Four soldiers injured in PKK attack

Bitlis deputy Governor Harun Basibuyuk said on Friday that PKK terrorists hurled hand grenades and opened fire on a military post on Thursday.

Four soldiers were injured when PKK militants attacked a Gendarmery Station near Bolukyazi in southeastern province of Bitlis.

Bitlis deputy Governor Harun Basibuyuk told AA on Friday that PKK terrorists hurled hand grenades and opened fire on a military post, which was one km away from the gendarmery station, at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Basibuyuk said that sergeant Omer Dogan, and privates Fatih Dagdelen, Ozgur Yagan and Osman Uman were wounded in the attack.

He added that sergeant Dogan was seriously wounded in the attack and taken to Ankara Gulhane Military Hospital, while privates were under treatment at Tatvan Military Hospital.
