France offers Turkey condolence for plane crash death

French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner sent a message to Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and offered his condolences following Monday's plane crash in which also a Turkish citizen lost her life.

The French Embassy in Ankara quoted Kouchner as saying in his message that French and Turkish people commiserated the same grief.

An Air France jet carrying 228 people from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to France crashed in the Atlantic Ocean on Monday. Some debris from the crashed Air France jet were spotted. Turkish harp player Fatma Ceren Necipoglu was also on board the plane.
