"I can tell you that he was abducted this morning at around 11:00 am (0800 GMT). The journalist arrived in Bossasso yesterday," a humanitarian worker told AFP, asking to remain anonymous.
He said the journalist was Gwen Le Gouil, who was in Bosasso to do a report on the trafficking of illegal immigrants.
A French diplomat in Nairobi confirmed that a French citizen had been abducted.

A French journalist was on Sunday abducted in Bossasso, northern Somalia, by a group of unidentified attackers, sources said.
