124 Gazans, trapped in Cairo International Airport for two days, wants Saudia Arabia to renew their visas to be able to make umrah.

Palestinian news agency quoted an Eygptian television report on Tuesday as saying "124 Palestinians have been trapped in Cairo International Airport for two days because their visas for Saudi Arabia are expired".

Palestinians appealed to Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz and officials to grant them visas.

The report said the pilgrims visas expired on the Sunday which was the same day that they arrived at the airport at 7:15am. The officials told them they could not board the airplane unless they had valid visas.

Egypt's Rafah Border Terminal opened since Saturday to allow Palestinians who are registered to travel to Saudi Arabia for the umrah pilgrimage.

The Rafah crossing with Egypt, Gaza's sole border crossing that bypasses Israel, rarely opens as Egypt is under immense US and Israeli pressure to keep the crossing shut.

Gaza is considered under Israeli occupation as Israel controls air, sea and land access to the Strip.

Some of 2,400 Palestinians already arrived to Mecca through Cairo.
