A Greek Cypriot political party paid a visit to a Turkish Cypriot party headquarters on Saturday.
The Greek Cypriot United Democrats Movement (EDI) met members of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), the biggest partner of the government in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
After their meeting with EDI delegation headed by Praxoulla Antoniadou Kyriacou, CTP chairman and TRNC Premier Ferdi Sabit Soyer told reporters that the two parties agreed to extend full support to talks between the two leaders in the island.
President Mehmet Ali Talat of TRNC and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias have been holding talks since March 21st.
"Both parties share same views about finding a speedy solution to Cyprus problem," Soyer also said.
Kyriacou said that their party would encourage the two leaders for a settlement based on a bi-communal and bi-zonal structure and political equality as defined within the relevant United Nations resolutions.
