Turkish President Abdullah Gul met executives of several leading Japanese companies in Tokyo on Thursday.
Gul met executives of Itochu, Mitsubishi, Subaru Automotive, Toyota, Honda, Sojitz, Marubeni and Mitsui companies.
Turkish state ministers Kursad Tuzmen and Mehmet Simsek, who also attended the meeting, briefed Japanese businessmen on investment opportunities in Turkey.
Turkish officials also gave information to Japanese businessmen about the investments which Turkey planned to make in the future.
State Minister Simsek said in the meeting that Turkey was predicted to leave behind Italy, South Korea and Canada in terms of economic growth in 2040.
Simsek said that Turkey would make energy investments worth of 110 billion USD in the next decade.
Regarding automotive investments, Turkish party suggested Japanese businessmen that western province of Kutahya was feasible for investment.
Following the meeting, Gul attended signature ceremony for additional investment agreement between Turkish Anadolu Group and Isuzu and Itochi.
