Kazakh Education Minister Zhanseit Tuimenbayev accompanied the Turkish president during the ceremony, where Gül was given a warm welcome by students carrying Turkish and Kazakh flags. Gül visited classrooms and chatted with students.
Fascinated by the state-of-the-art technology with which the classrooms were equipped, Gül advised reporters to have a look at the classrooms.
He told students, "I am proud of you, and I hope your success will be lasting." Gül was briefed by school officials and he watched a show staged by students and traditional Kazakh folkloric games. A student sang a Turkish song while two students read the Turkish poems "İstanbul" and "Adı Mehmet."
The school's interior is a total of 20,000 square meters, with 48 classrooms, six science laboratories, three computer rooms, two multimedia centers, two dance spaces, two art rooms, 24 branch study rooms, one library, one sports hall, one conference room, one pool, one refectory and one cafeteria. The school has started to provide education services to 358 students. Its total capacity is 1,200. Out of the 32 teachers currently working at the school, 10 are Turkish.
