IOF Storm Nablus Mosques

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed Tuesday two mosques in the West Bank city of Nablus and its nearby refugee camp of Ein Biet Al-Ma, forcing Palestinian worshippers performing their dawn prayers to stand stripped outdoors before arresting 12 of them.

Local sources affirmed that at least 30 IOF armored vehicles launched an incursion in the city from several directions amidst intensive machinegun shooting as more back up IOF equipments were brought in. The incursion denied Palestinian students of the Najah University from attending classes.

Meanwhile, IOF tanks and artilleries resumed their shelling of populated areas in eastern and northern Gaza Strip with tens of shell rounds that inflected heavy material damage, and spread a state of fear among Palestinian children and women.

Local eyewitnesses added that the southern Gaza Strip of Khan Younis sustained 10 bombs, but no casualties among civilians.

Palestinian child, Hanadi Ghabn, 12, was killed in an IOF artillery shelling of Beit Lahia city, north of the Strip, while the rest of her family members were severely wounded when a tank projectile hit their home Monday.

For their part, Palestinian resistance fighters retaliated to the child's murder by firing a number of home-made Aqsa-2, and Nasser-3 missiles at Israeli settlements around Gaza Strip, including Sderot settlement, Erez and Kissufim crossing points.

In a related matter, the PA health minister, Basim Naeem, affirmed that health condition in the Strip was deteriorating as a result of the Israeli occupation government's hermitic closure of exits and crossing points, and hampering entry of badly needed medicine.

"The IOF troops have killed around 18 Palestinian citizens, including children, and wounded scores others within the past three days; yet, they were seizing medicine stocks at the Kerem Shalom terminal for quite a long time, which per se is a crime", the minister added.

He pointed out that his ministry was in bad need of 4 million dollars to cover its operational expenses, accusing the US, and EU of giving the wrong signal to the IOF when they decided to impede financial assistance to the PA. IOF intensive land, air, and sea assaults on Palestinian civilians had harmonized with the decision.
