Israeli violating commitment not to expand settlements: Peace Now
Israel Land Administration has published a tender for the construction of 307 housing units in the Har Home neighborhood in Jerusalem, effectively violating Israel's commitment not to expand settlements, Peace Now said Sunday.

Quoted by Yediot Ahronot, Peace Now said "This is a substantial tender for construction outside the Green Line that contradicts Israel's commitment to freeze construction in settlements."

According to the movement's website, Peace Now is the largest extra-parliamentary movement in Israel, the countrys oldest peace movement, and the only peace group to have a broad public base. The movement was founded in 1978 during the Israeli-Egyptian peace talks.
