"Turkey has 1.1 billion USD of investments in our country and this is the lowest foreign investment in Kazakhstan," he told during a meeting of Turkish-Kazakh Business Forum in Astana.

Nazarbayev said his country will make 30 billion USD of investments in particularly metallurgy and transportation in the following ten years.

"The number of Turkish investors should increase," he told. The actual number of Turkish investors in this country is 1,600.

Nazarbayev said Kazakh companies also want to invest in Turkey. "I expect Turkey's support for them," he also said.

On the other hand, Gul said Kazakhstan is the most important partner of Turkey in the Central Asia.

"We expect our trade volume to be over 2 billion USD by the end of the year," he told.

Gul said two countries aim to raise it to 10 billion USD in coming years and Turkey is ready to do everything it can to achieve this goal.

"We want Turkish businessmen to undertake giant infrastructural projects in Kazakhstan like dam and power plant construction," he also said.

Gul said it is pleasing to see that Kazakh capital is also interested in Turkey.

"We expect Kazakh firms to invest in refinery and mining industries in our country," he also told.

Gul is actually paying a four-day state visit to Kazakhstan upon an invitation of his Kazakh counterpart Nazarbayev. He is scheduled to participate in Kazakh independence day celebrations later in the day.
