Minister calls on China to open bank in Turkey

We also want China to open banks in Turkey, said Turkish Minister on foreign trade Zafer Caglayan who inaugurated Turkish Trade Center in Beijing.
He said China's opening banks in Turkey would bring a momentum to the relations.
Noting that Turkey's domestic and foreign debt balance was very positive, Caglayan said that the eurobonds were important in the aspect of fresh money flow in Turkey.
Caglayan said that 70 percent of Turkey's export to China was related on mining sector, adding that a big Chinese mining company would send ten of its engineers to Turkey in coming days. He said that China was very positive about mining sector in Turkey.
Caglayan noted that Chinese and Turkish contractors would cooperate in third countries under the Joint Economic Committee protocol.
He said that they would hold a meeting with officials of Chinese Eximbank on Sunday regarding an assistance for investments in third countries. Caglayan reminded that they previously asked Chinese Eximbank to provide 500 million USD of resource for Turkish Halkbankasi. He added that they recorded a progress about this issue too.
Regarding Turkish Trade Center in Beijing, Caglayan said that this office would undertake an important mission to develop trade with China, adding that it would be a compass for Turkish businessmen who would make export in China.
