Minister: No problem for Turk food exports at Russian customs

Turkish agriculture minister said on Tuesday there was no problem at customs gates in regard to exports of vegetables and fruits to Russia.

In an interview with the A.A correspondent, Agriculture and Rural Affairs Minister Mehmet Mehdi Eker said they did not receive any information that Turkish trucks carrying vegetables and fruits (to Russia) were kept waiting at customs gates.

Answering a question on Saudi Arabia's Agriculture Minister Fahd bin Abd al-Rahman bin Sulayman Balghunaym's visit to Turkey with a delegation of 11 businessmen, Eker said Saudi officials did not make a tangible proposal on investing in the agriculture sector in Turkey.

"They (Saudi authorities) did not make a tangible proposal. They were only informed on investment opportunities in Turkey," he said.
