Croatian President Stjepan Mesic will formally welcome President Gul on June 11th; then the two leaders will hold a tete-a-tete meeting, and also co-chair meetings between Turkish and Croatian delegations.

Turkish State Minister Mehmet Aydin and a businessmen delegation are accompanying Gul.

Croatian President Stjepan Mesic will formally welcome President Gul on June 11th; then the two leaders will hold a tete-a-tete meeting, and also co-chair meetings between Turkish and Croatian delegations.

The Turkish president will also receive Croatian parliament speaker and prime minister separately. President Gul will deliver a speech at a Turkish-Croatian Business Council meeting.


Turkish President Abdullah Gul said on Tuesday that Turkey attached importance to cooperation with Croatia to spread peace, stability and prosperity in Balkans.

Gul told reporters at Ankara's international Esenboga Airport prior to his departure for Croatia that he would pay a visit to that country as the guest of Croatian President Stjepan Mesic.

Gul said that political relations between Turkey and Croatia were on perfect level, adding that both countries shared common targets such as integration with Europe and strengthening regional harmony and cooperation.

"We will discuss bilateral political relations as well as cooperation on economy, commerce, defense, security, culture and education areas with Mesic," Gul said.

Gul added that they would also discuss regional and international matters which concerned both countries.

Gul said that a protocol and a memorandum of understanding between Turkey and Croatia would be signed during his visit.
