Natural gas flow on Iran-Turkey pipeline resumes
The natural gas flow on Iran-Turkey pipeline resumed on Saturday, Turkish authorities said.

A high-level official of Turkish Oil Transportation Corp. (BOTAS) told AA correspondent that the pipeline had been repaired and final tests and checks were made on Friday.

"Natural gas flow resumed on Saturday morning," the official said.

Natural gas flow on the pipeline was halted on May 26th due to an explosion in Dogubeyazit town of the eastern province of Agri. A fire followed the explosion.

After the fire was extinguished, BOTAS teams started to repair the 30-meter part of the pipeline.

Following the blast, Russian Gazprom company increased the amount of gas it pumped through the Blue Stream pipeline to meet the demand in Turkey.
