The delegation will be in the country from July 19 to 23. It will meet representatives of political parties, election officials and members of civil society and will deploy around the country to observe voting in a representative cross-section of polling stations, the statement said.

The observers will announce their conclusions at a final press conference on July 23.

Similarly, a delegation from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) arrived in Turkey late last month for talks with representatives of Turkish political parties ahead of the forthcoming elections. Another OSCE delegation is expected to arrive in Turkey in the coming days to observe the elections.
