Gaza - The association highly praised Sheikh Maktoom for his unstinting support for the Palestinian people, which further enhanced their resoluteness in face of the Israeli superciliousness.

"Sheikh Maktoom has passed away after leaving great effects on us in terms of charitable action, sacrifices, construction, and serving the Arab Ummah as a whole. The man devoted his life to munificent spending on the noble deeds that left positive and decisive effects on the citizens' lives and their aspirations for a shinier and more prosperous future," the society's statement said.

"Sheikh Maktoom played a major role in serving both the Palestinian question and charitable associations operating in that country in addition to his limitless support to the Palestinian people. He only passed away after a life brimful with philanthropic actions based on extending a helping hand to the poor and the needy let alone constructing mosques and hospitals. Indeed, he was a good model of kindness, philanthropy, and affection," it noted.

The society, in conclusion, extended heartfelt consolations to the Emirate people and government on such a regrettable vicissitude, asking Allah to include Sheikh Maktoom in his mercy.
