In a statement carried by a local news agency, CNS, chairman of the UJC Syed Sallahuddin said, 'Mujahideen leadership is ready to support the Irish type solution for the Kashmir dispute, provided the Indian government accepted Kashmir as a disputed territory.'
The UJC chief who also heads the Hizbul Mujahideen group, Syed Sallahuddin has rejected Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's four-point formula on Kashmir.
Terming the ongoing talks between India and Pakistan as 'useless', Sallahuddin said, 'The breakthrough Musharraf had expected from talks with India has not been achieved.'
'Since 1947, history is witness that nothing has been achieved through talks', he said.

Ready for Irish-type Kashmir solution, says leader
The United Jehad Council (UJC), the Muzaffarabad-based umbrella organisation of groups, is ready to accept the Irish type solution for the Kashmir dispute provided India accepted that Kashmir was a disputed territory.
