Senior Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani has appealed the world community to take cognizance of the fact that the stepped-up Indian state-terrorism has made the situation in occupied Kashmir volcanic.
He was addressing a meeting of Kashmiri leaders and activists in Srinagar. Syed Ali Gilani emphasized that Kashmiris were not averse to resolve Kashmir dispute through peaceful means of talks. However, he maintained that talks without sincerity and seriousness could yield no results.
Special meetings of Quran and Fateha Khawani were held in Srinagar today in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversaries of leading Hurriyat leaders, Mirwaiz Moulvi Mohammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone. A competition of the recitation of the Holy Quran was also arranged on the occasion.
