Swine flu cases in Turkey rise to ten in Ankara school

The Turkish Health Ministry said on Wednesday that ten people were diagnosed with swine flue in a primary school in the capital of Ankara.

Executives of the ministry said that the number of people infected with swine flu had risen to ten in the Bilkent University Preparatory School (BUPS) Elementary School.

Earlier, the ministry said five people, including two parents and three students, were diagnosed with swine flue.

In its later tests, the ministry said five more people were diagnosed with swine flu in the elementary school, raising the number of infected to ten.

A student who had returned to Turkey from Scotland was hospitalized after symptoms of swine flu were detected. The result of the tests was positive.

The school will be closed for a week.
