Thousands of U.S. Muslims in Kansas City and neighbouring cities will gather on Sunday to for Eid Al-Fitr celebration, a local website said.
Eid Al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting.
The celebration will be at the KCI Expo Center, 11730 N, Ambassador Drive, kansascity.com said. To accommodate the large numbers expected, two prayer services are planned, at 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
Eid Al-Fitr is one of two big religious holidays and lasts three days, with Muslims dressing in new clothes, exchanging gifts, visiting family and friends, eating special foods and performing acts of charity.
