Turk-Arab Economic Forum kicks off in Istanbul
The two-day 3rd Arab-Turkish Economic Forum kicks off in Istanbul, Turkey on Thursday to discuss prospects and capabilities of boosting up joint cooperation in the fields of financing, investment, energy and tourism between Turkey and the Arab countries.

The Forum is also due to discuss Arab-Turkish economic ties, water, security and ways of enhancing banking and financial relations.

Along with Syrian Prime Minister Mohammad Naji Ottri, other Arab and Islamic senior officials are due to attend, including Qatari Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassem bib Jabr Al Thani, Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa and about 800 officials representing public and private sectors and businessmen.

Premier Ottri's participation in this event comes as part of an official visit he will pay to Turkey on an invitation from his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday for talks with senior officials on strengthening the relations between the two countries.
