Turkey borrowed €2.6-bln loan from European Investment Bank in 2009
The European Investment Bank has provided a loan of 2.6 billion Euros to Turkey in 2009.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has provided a loan of 2.6 billion Euros to Turkey in 2009.
The bank had provided a loan of 2.5 million Euros in 2008.
EIB has been financing projects in Turkey since 1965. The bank granted loan of 10.2 billion Euros to Turkey in the past five years.
The bank also provided financial sources of more than 1.5 billion Euros to small businesses by the means of several banks and it also granted a loan of EUR 335 million to 15 public universities in Turkey.
