Turkey 'continues to be on Azerbaijan's side'

Turkey's parliament speaker met with Azerbaijan's prime minister in Baku on Saturday.
Turkish Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Sahin, who is currently in the Azerbaijani capital to attend a summit meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic-speaking countries (PATC), held talks with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Artur Rasizade.
During the meeting, Sahin said that Turkey desired the problems in its region to be solved in a peaceful way.
Sahin also said that Turkey would never take any steps that would harm Azerbaijan.
Rasizade said in his part that Turkey had always been on Azerbaijan's side and it continued to display the same stance today.
Prior to his meeting with Rasizade, Sahin was received by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Sahin is also scheduled to hold talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ogtay Asadov, members of Turkey-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group and a group of Turkish businessmen.
