Turkey, Czech agree to help each other for business ties

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met with his Czech counterpart in Ankara on Monday and described relations between Turkey and Czech Republic as "perfect".

At a joint press conference with Czech Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Jan Kohout, Davutoglu said officials of the two countries reaffirmed commitment to establish a joint "strategy paper" for better relations.

Davutoglu said Turkey and Czech Republic have supported each other in almost every international organizations.

Trade volume between the two countries reached nearly 2 billion USD last year from 200 million in 2000, Davutoglu said, adding that he agreed with Kohout to support Turkish and Czech businessmen in operations in third countries, especially in emerging markets.

He also said that Czech Republic has been a good supporter of Turkey in its EU bid, and added that Turkey asked for more support from Czech officials.

On his part, visiting minister Jan Kohout said that Turkey's full membership to EU was of high importance for strategic purposes.

Kohout also described relations as "perfect" but said relations should become a little bit more deeper.
